About Helford
Why We Started
When trying to buy the official Tudor rubber strap, we discovered it required a completely new clasp, even though we already had one with the original bracelet. The original strap is cut to fit, which can make it weaker, and often leaves the clasp slightly off-center. While the design has its merits, we saw room for something better. A strap that delivers a more secure fit, a reinforced build, and colour options that reflect both the individual and the environments in which the watch is used.
What We Made
We set out to design a strap that improves on the original in all the right ways. Helford straps are built from high-quality FKM rubber for durability, comfort, and long-term performance. Each strap integrates seamlessly with the original Tudor clasp and end links, retaining the refined fit of the factory bracelet while offering a more rugged construction. To further strengthen the design, we integrated stainless steel reinforcement at the connection points, adding structure and reliability where it matters most. The result is a strap that’s secure, dependable, and built to handle whatever you throw at it. Whether you're diving, hiking, or wearing it every day we believe it should be used for what it was designed to do.
Where We're Going
The name Helford comes from the Helford River in Cornwall, a place known for watersports, diving, and outdoor adventure. It’s the kind of environment where a Tudor watch, and our straps truly belong. Our first release is for the Black Bay 54, but we’re already working on expanding the range. Our goal is simple: to keep building high-quality, purpose-driven straps for Tudor models that deserve more than just stock options. If you have suggestions or feedback, we’re listening.
